Platelets are rich in growth factors. By injecting a solution of platelets (PRP) into the affected area, it promotes the preservation of hair follicles in the regenerative phase.
It increases the cells of the vascular endothelium with an anti-apoptotic effect. Cellular survival, proliferation, and differentiation of follicles are increased. The binding of growth factors to their corresponding receptors in the affected area results in neovascularization, prevention of apoptosis, extension of the regenerative phase, and improvement of the volume and quality of the hair - especially in alopecia type I-V, according to the Norwood classification.
To perform PRP therapy, blood is taken from the interested party and then centrifugation is carried out to isolate the plasma rich in platelets. This mixture is then injected into the scalp with the mesotherapy method, in all areas where reduced hair growth is observed.
